On Thursday, September 18, 2014, Deloitte hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Deloitte Foundation Classroom that is part of the larger Active Learning Classrooms Suite (ALC) at the McCombs School of Business.
The Active Learning Classrooms, which are modeled after the classrooms at Deloitte University, are team-based, adaptable and state-of-the-art learning environments that represent an important innovation in classroom design. The flexible layouts will enhance McCombs faculty member’s innovative teaching techniques and provide students with the latest learning environments.
The classroom was made possible through generous support from Deloitte professionals matched by the Deloitte Foundation. This classroom and the Active Learning Suite is an important new resource for the McCombs community and we are grateful to Deloitte for their ongoing support and involvement in the school. Faculty and staff attended the ribbon cutting to show their appreciation and celebrate this milestone for McCombs.
We are also happy to announce that the study area next to the ACLs is open now and students have started enjoying its zen like atmosphere.
